Bunzo Yamaguchi had deeply contributed for the dawn of Japanese modern Architecture, and left a lot of works as an architect. After that he established a totally new Architectural design firm named RIA in 1953.
The member of the organization didn't only try to develop their creativity and distinctive expression, but also continuously try to fit their idea to social demand. And such their attitude made them to re-consider the foundation of architecture itself and to respect working process strongly. Finally the business of RIA has expanded to support project of urban development and cooperative building. Urban development is changing always and the most is the complex of Usage and Space.

RIA has learned the importance of shaping outline and consulting to joint an incentive for change to action. RIA thinks making life space requires a good plot and looking out a new world through relationship with people living. Othewise, the bottom line of creativity is shaping a new world in the life space by design work. The corporation for the process of planning, researching possibility and designing is the most important thing for RIA.
From now on, Quality of space is becoming more important. The life space in our country is poor yet. There is a big deference between western city and ours on the level of its urban space stock. RIA considers a lot of theme like ecology, resources, population and aging society. Offering a rich and beautiful environment to people is the mission of RIA. RIA respond to the needs for reorganization of welfare medical care and infrastructure for life, and also respond to the needs for urban redeveropment. RIA makes a great effort to complete the projects with brushing our knowledge and penetration up.
